Yosakoi is a Japanese dance style that originated in Kochi Prefecture in 1954, and to this day, massive Yosakoi festivals are held every year all across Japan.
There’s also a Yosakoi team in Estonia, which is called Yuurin Yosakoi. We have been around for over a year and during this time, we’ve had numerous performances with a bunch of cool dances – both in Estonia and abroad (we have performed at the Poland festival called Nami Airando).
This time, in addition to our performances on the Kultuurikatel’s stage, we will delight J-Zone visitors with a Yosakoi workshop – anyone interested can learn one of the Yosakoi dances. You will be able to experience Japanese dances for yourself and get a boost of energy from the enthusiastic members of the group!

In this lecture, Dice, a beginner cosplayer, will be addressing the common issue with many “”How to get started with cosplay”” guides, often authored by seasoned cosplayers who began their journey years ago. As the cosplay starting process evolves with time, not all tips remain relevant for newcomers.
However, attendees need not worry! Dice will be offering firsthand tips on commencing the cosplay journey as a beginner cosplayer. With a modest 1 and a half years of cosplay experience, Dice initiated their journey with minimal resources and on a tight budget. The lecture will cover essential topics including necessary supplies, selecting the first cosplay, and managing the pace to avoid overwhelm.
