Stay tuned for the schedule updates on our social media channels.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The N\u00e4rCon Kpop Championship aims to showcase K-POP Cover Dancing at its best. It provides a stage for finalists to demonstrate their skills and passion for the K-POP music genre. In this championship, participants will compete against other dance troupes to perform the best K-POP dance routine, as closely as possible to the original song and choreography.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One exceptional group will be chosen to represent Estonia at the prestigious N\u00e4rCon Kpop Championship, set to take place at N\u00e4rCon Summer 2026!<\/span><\/p><\/div><h3><span style=\"font-weight: 600;\">I. <\/span><b>Requirements for Application<\/b><\/h3><h5><b>1.2 Citizenship or Residency Requirement<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:\u00a0<\/span><\/h5><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To be eligible to participate in the qualifiers, all members of the group must either be citizens or have a\u00a0 permanent residency of Estonia.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>When filling out the application form for participation,<\/strong> there will be a section where participants <strong>must indicate their citizenship or permanent residence.<\/strong><\/span><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This section is mandatory and must be completed.<\/span><\/i><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any participant having questions about this article can directly refer to K-POP Team for more information.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h5><b>1.3 Group Size Requirement: <\/b><\/h5><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only dance groups consisting of 4 to 8 members are allowed to apply for the NKC qualifiers.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h5><b>1.4 <\/b><b>Eligibility:\u00a0<\/b><\/h5><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only groups with at least one participant aged 18 or older can enter the qualifiers.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Guardian Role: The participant(s) who are 18 or older will act as guardians for any group members under 18.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Parental Permission: Participants under 18 must have written permission from their legal guardian to join the qualifiers.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Follow Festival Rules: All participants must follow the J-Tsoon festival age category rules, which set requirements based on the ages of group members.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Responsibilities of Guardians: If the group is selected to represent Estonia at the N\u00e4rCon K-Pop Championship, the guardian(s) will supervise all participants under 18 and manage any related responsibilities<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Important: Participants under 18 cannot participate in the qualifiers without a guardian aged 18 or older in their group.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h5><b>1.5 Applications:<\/b><\/h5><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Groups must indicate their willingness to participate in the NKC qualifiers on the application form for the K-POP GROUP COVER DANCE COMPETITION. A separate checkbox will be provided for this purpose.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h3><span style=\"font-weight: 600;\">2.<\/span><b>Performance Rules<\/b><\/h3><h5><b>2.1 Music Length<\/b><\/h5><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Performances must follow J-Tsoon rules for music length, with a maximum duration of <\/span><b>3 minutes and 30 seconds (210 seconds)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h5><strong>2.2 Song Selection<\/strong><\/h5><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">The song selection must be from a Korean artist. Remixes are ONLY allowed if it already has an existing choreography. The remix must be an official remix and follow the other rules of the competition.<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Allowed languages for songs are <b>Korean, Japanese, Chinese, or English<\/b><\/li><\/ul><h5><strong>2.3 Dance Routine Requirements<\/strong><\/h5><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">The dance routine must be the same as the original artist choreography. If the group chooses to do a cover of a remix, the remix has to have an existing choreography.<\/li><\/ul><h3><b>3.<\/b><\/h3><h3><b>Participation in the Qualifiers:<\/b><\/h3><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Qualifier participation does not affect category results for most groups.<\/span><\/li><li aria-level=\"1\"><b><u>Taking part in the qualifiers doesn\u2019t remove the chance to compete in the chosen <\/u><\/b><u><strong>Competition Categories.<\/strong><\/u><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All groups that check the box to participate in the qualifiers will be evaluated for the qualifier.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Groups that participate in the qualifiers <\/span><b>still compete in their chosen category, meaning all groups have the chance to win first and second place<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, except the group which will be selected to represent Estonia at N\u00e4rCon.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The group chosen to represent Estonia at N\u00e4rCon will not be awarded first or second place in their category, as their &#8220;grand prize place\u201d is the honour of representing Estonia internationally.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h3><span style=\"font-weight: 600;\">4. Stage<\/span><\/h3><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All selected groups will be scheduled to perform first in blocks across both days of the event.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Groups may indicate their preferred day for performance, however, due to time constraints, we cannot guarantee that the chosen day will be assigned.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h3><span style=\"font-weight: 600;\">5. <b>Judging<\/b><\/span><\/h3><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The evaluation of the groups will include scores for both their dance performance and their costumes.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h3><b>6. If Selected for the NKC<\/b><\/h3><ul><li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Travel and accommodation expenses<\/span><b> for members of the selected group<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be covered by the festival.<\/span><\/li><li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The group can choose to add an intro (please refer to the N\u00e4rCon K-Pop Championship rules for guidance).\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All performance-related files (such as music tracks or other required materials please refer to the N\u00e4rCon K-Pop Championship rules for guidance) must be submitted to J-Tsoon organizers as soon as possible after the festival. This ensures timely forwarding to the NKC organizers.<\/span><\/li><li>If the group proceeds, the group members cannot be switched, added or deducted.
